So you want to be a Soccer Player?
If you are focused on becoming a better soccer player you will need the desire to get better, every single day of your life. If you want to become better you cannot be satisfied with where you are at, at the current moment. There is always, always, room for improvement. You need to be focused on constant development, progress, and improvement.
Every time you step on the field, there is an opportunity to improve. However, it’s up to you to make the most of every situation and use it as a chance to better your game. Holding a commitment to constant improvement will not only help you improve as a Soccer player but will rub off on your teammates as well. When you are concentrated, focused, and set on making the most of your time on the field; your teammates will notice this and if they share your passion to get better, will follow your lead. This mindset will improve the quality of your Soccer training and in turn the performance in your Soccer games.
A commitment to improvement will “force” you to become a better soccer player; increase your soccer techniques, abilities, and intelligence.
Even the best soccer players in the world are focused on improving their game every day. If they weren’t, do you think they would be where they are today? They didn’t get where they are today by being comfortable with their current ability. It took numerous hours of training, dedication, and a commitment to improvement to get them to the world stage. These players should be your role models and there should be no reason you don’t possess the same mindset.
Ask yourself:
Am I better than I was last season? Last month? Last game?
If you can answer yes to these questions, you’re on the right path to developing your game. If you answered no, you have some work to put in. But don’t worry; realizing your situation is the first step. Now that you know what you have to work towards, you can take the necessary steps to reach your goals.
If you’re serious about going somewhere with Soccer, or simply becoming the best Soccer player you can be, a commitment to improvement must be adopted.

Well theres your first problem right there, my friend. You cant worry about what other people think. Some of the greatest players in the world were told they would never amount to anything, but they didnt listen to their critics.
If you work hard enough you can achieve anything, whether it be in Soccer or any other aspect of life. Keep working at improving your game, if you want it bad enough you will begin to see results.
My advice: Don’t listen to what other people think of you. In the end all that matters is what you think of yourself. Keep training my friend. Your answer to your dreams are over the horizon.
I don’t agree with your post .. I have another reason that supports my argument but I would rather keep it to myself.
Thanks for the thread. I <3 Soccer.
That is a definitely well thought out post. I certainly enjoyed reading it. Thanks
