Take on this challenge and you can win:

To earn these rewards complete the following:

1.Take 10 min (minimum) a day to improve endurance.

2.Do this for 10 minutes:
- set up x3 distances (20yard, 50yard, 100yard)
- be sure to warm up properly before
- sprint to 20 yard mark as fast as possible
- jog back (slow to recover)
- sprint to 50 yard mark as fast as possible
- jog back (slow to recover)
- sprint to 100 yard mark as fast as possible
- jog back (slow to recover)
- switch feet after every shot

3.This must be done at speed.
Push yourself mentally and physically with each sprint.

Always try to go faster than the last.

4.Watch Olympic sprinters on YouTube daily. Really look at their
running technique, their explosive power and form.

Do this every day for 1 week and I guarantee you will
be more confident, faster, you will have improved stamina, and
you will be able to recover quicker after sprints.

You can be so great.

But you have to put in the work.

Get smarter.Faster. Stronger. More skilled.

These don’t just show up. You have to work for them.
And you will. Stay focused.

Defender or attacker you need to read this article.

All players must attack.

But more importantly, all players must defend.

You cannot lose if you don’t concede.

Yes, I know you want to score goals, but if you put more
focus and effort on stopping goals, defending, and winning possession
as you do on getting forward and scoring goals, you will
be much more successful on the football pitch.

Being a good defender starts with having a good work ethic.

Are you the hardest working player on your team?

Be honest.

If not, what are you going to start doing to become the hardest
working player on your team? On your own? In practices? In games?

To become a better defender start applying these concepts
every time you step on the field:

Be aggressive.  “But I don’t know how to be aggressive?”
Cmon!? Being aggressive is a mindset not a skill. Tell yourself
you are going to get battle for every ball like it’s a life or death
situation. If you do that every time you have the opportunity
to win a ball, you are already better off than your opponent.

Press and Cover. Keep things simple. If you are closet to the ball,
pressure and either force the player back towards their own goal
or win possession of the ball. Don’t be afraid to get beat at the start.
Focus on going in hard. If you are not closet to the ball you need
to cover a passing lane or be goal side of an attacker.

Communicate. The more you talk with your teammates, the easier
defending will be. Help each other on the field by identifying where
open players are. Telling others to pressure or cover. And asking
for advice from players behind you (they can see the field better).

Stay focused.  Defending is about discipline. You have to stay
alert and ready to react at any moment. If you get lazy
with your positioning, pressing, and covering, that is
when you will get punished. Always stay focused.

You will be a great defender.

But you have to take your development seriously.

Every time you are defending in practice or games, focus
on where you should be and what you should be doing.

Ask your coach and teammates for advice.

Watch professional football and learn from great defenders.

Make an effort to improve… and you will.

Think you don’t need to improve… and you wont.

You know what you have to do.

Time to make it happen.

Regardless of your position on the field, you are going to be a
much more valuable player if you know how to attack properly.

All players will be required to attack and some
point during the game.

Will you be ready?

Apply these concepts daily in your personal training,
team practices, and game situations, and you will
already be miles ahead of the competition:

Confidence.  If you do not believe in your ability to attack,
you will not be able to attack. You will freeze up and make
mistakes. Be confident. To get confidence all you have to do
is practice more often, harder, and smarter.

Simplicity. Keep it simple. Pass and move. The most effective
players are usually the ones that take the least amount
of touches on the ball. Especially in the 1^st two thirds of the
field you want to keep things simple. In the attacking third
use your individual skill to beat players and create
goal scoring opportunities for yourself and others.

Speed of play.  In order to attack effectively, everything
has to be done at speed. Your first touch, passing, movement
of the ball, dribbling, all have to be done at speed. Always
try to improve your speed of play.

Combination play. The easiest way to attack and get
past defenders is quick ball movement. Pass and move. Try
to play quick give and go’s around the box to create
space for a good shot on goal.

Take your shots. Attacking is great but if everyone is too
scared to take on a shot, you will never score. Every time
you have the opportunity to take a shot on goal, go for it.
I would much rather you shot, miss, and learn from your mistake,
then pass up on a shooting/goal scoring opportunity.

Confidence starts with putting in the practice on your own.

If you want to score more goals and be a better attacker,
improve your basic techniques everyday.

10 minutes of each:

Dribbling
Juggling
Passing + Receiving
Shooting
