How In The World
Do You Play Soccer Better!?
If you want to play better, you must become better.
Simple statement, I know. Stay with me.
What are you doing to become a better soccer player?
Your performances won’t improve simply by thinking
about playing better; you must take massive, positive action
towards making yourself a better player.
I believe a player’s development can be broken down
into four specific areas:
Technical. These are your basic ball skills: ball control,
dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, heading, tackling, etc.
Physical. These are athletic characteristics: speed,
acceleration, power, vertical, flexibility, stamina, agility, etc.
Tactical. This is your understanding of the game. Knowing
what to do, in different situations on the football pitch.
Mental. This is your ability to stay focused on achieving your goal,
eliminate mental and emotional weakness, and get the
most out of yourself every time you step on the field.
I will ask you again:
What are you going to do today to become
a better player tomorrow?
